These Terms of Service govern your use of TarotNL. By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Nature of the Service

TarotNL provides AI-assisted tarot readings for reflection, inspiration, self-inquiry, and entertainment. The service is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, or decision-making support from a qualified professional.

No Professional Advice

Readings and responses on TarotNL are not medical, mental health, legal, financial, relationship, safety, or other professional advice. You are solely responsible for your decisions and actions. If you are facing an emergency, health concern, legal issue, financial decision, or mental health crisis, seek help from an appropriate qualified professional or emergency service.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

Tarot readings are interpretive and symbolic. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, unavailable, or unsuitable for your circumstances. TarotNL does not guarantee that any reading, card interpretation, prediction, suggestion, or response will be accurate, complete, reliable, or appropriate.

Eligibility and Responsible Use

You must use TarotNL lawfully and responsibly. You agree not to misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or harvest data, overload the platform, bypass usage limits, or use automated tools, bots, scripts, or private-browser workarounds to abuse free readings.

Usage Limits

TarotNL may provide a limited number of free daily reading tokens. We may change, suspend, reduce, or remove free usage limits at any time. Failed AI responses may not consume a token, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any free feature.

Accounts, Paid Services, and Subscriptions

Where account registration becomes available, you must be at least 16 years of age to register, or at least 18 years of age to purchase paid services. By registering or purchasing, you confirm that you meet the applicable age requirement.

TarotNL may introduce optional account registration, paid readings, premium features, subscriptions, token packages, or other paid services in the future. If such services become available, additional pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, refund, and account terms may apply and will be presented at or before purchase where required.

You agree to provide accurate account and billing information and to keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used fraudulently, unlawfully, abusively, or in violation of these Terms.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. TarotNL may not directly store full payment card or bank details. Paid features may be subject to taxes, currency conversion, third-party payment fees, provider availability, and technical limitations. Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, digital readings, token usage, and AI-generated services may be considered delivered once made available or consumed.

User Content

You are responsible for the questions, messages, and other content you submit. Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, invasive of another person’s privacy, or that includes sensitive information you do not want processed by the service or third-party providers.

AI and Third-Party Providers

TarotNL uses third-party AI and security providers, including DeepSeek, Google Gemini, and Google reCAPTCHA. Your use of TarotNL may involve processing by those providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Third-party services may be unavailable, rate-limited, delayed, or changed without notice.

Contact Form

Messages submitted through the contact form are stored so we can review and respond to them. Submitting a contact message does not create a client, advisory, fiduciary, therapeutic, or professional relationship.

Intellectual Property

The TarotNL website, brand, design, text, software, and related materials are owned by TarotNL or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the service for personal, lawful purposes only unless we give written permission otherwise.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of TarotNL at any time, with or without notice. We may update features, providers, limits, content, pricing, and these Terms as the service evolves.

Disclaimer of Warranties

TarotNL is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TarotNL and its owners, operators, partners, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for losses arising from your reliance on readings, AI responses, service interruptions, data loss, unauthorized access, or third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, gross negligence or wilful misconduct where applicable, or any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory digital content, digital service, or consumer protection rights, those rights remain unaffected.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TarotNL and its operators from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any law or third-party right.

Privacy

Your use of TarotNL is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply in your country of residence, disputes relating to TarotNL will be submitted to the competent courts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, or another court required by applicable law.

If TarotNL becomes established in the European Union as an online trader, eligible EU consumers may also have access to the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform, where applicable.
